  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

Cooking Chicken And Dumplings

  1. Turn your Instant Pot to the sauté function and add the chicken, onion, celery, and carrots. Sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Turn off the sauté function and put the lid on the Instant Pot. Set the valve to sealing and select the manual function. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. While the chicken and broth are cooking, make the dumplings. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Add the milk and stir until a dough forms.
  6. When the Instant Pot beeps, do a quick release of the pressure. Remove the lid and stir in the chopped parsley.
  7. Drop the dumpling dough by spoonfuls on top of the chicken and broth.
  8. Put the lid back on the Instant Pot and set the valve to sealing. Select the manual function and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  9. When the Instant Pot beeps, do a quick release of the pressure. Remove the lid and stir the dumplings into the broth.
